Goings On in Pictures (and some words) – Part II

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. That’s good. Because I don’t have a thousand words. I have a ton of pictures. And zero words. Well, some words.

Things have been happening here after moving to the Pacific Northwest.  We’ve been…

running around the beaches in Florence,

biking all over Eugene,

and eating, always eating the good vegan foods.

Vegan Chinese from Lotus Garden: Battered veggie beef deep-fried, broccoli, carrot in sweet & spicy sauce, the-state-of-things-part-deux-16

and veggie pot stickers. the-state-of-things-part-deux-17

Neal’s specialty: homemade BBQ tofu with a side of broccoli and curly fries.the-state-of-things-part-deux-18 the-state-of-things-part-deux-19

Asparagus bowl with creamy avocado dressing, olive tapenade and a jungle juice (I think) from Laughing Planetthe-state-of-things-part-deux-20

And food from one of my favorite places in Eugene, Cornbread Cafe. A vegan omelette with sausage, biscuits and home fries.

For the next post, there will be words. At least more words. Probably the same amount of pictures give or take. Sound good?

Thanks Becky! Sorry I dropped the ball on your smoothie book back in Feb. The adjustment to moving was very much up and down and all over the place for me so it was difficult to focus on the blog…but I think I’m on the upswing.

Hope all is well in the ATL!

I’m so happy to see a new post and that you’re enjoying your new home! I have to say, Eugene is on our list of possible places to move. You might have convinced me 🙂

Hi Amanda! If you’re seriously considering Eugene, you have a place to stay if you come to check it out. The summer has proven to be pretty spectacular so far. It gets hot here but nothing compared to Atlanta.

Thanks for reading and commenting! It means a lot to me.

You are so sweet! And we just might take you up on that. We’re planning a trip out there in the early spring to check it out. We are super excited!!! I’ll certainly keep you posted on specific dates. If anything, I’d love to meet up with you for dinner.

Welcome back Ketty! Gorgeous photos of your dogs ❤ I haven't been to Florence yet, but I heard it's a lovely place for dogs to roam around and I'm so happy they look comfortable there! It's a long move from Atlanta! I'm heading back in mid August, we should meet up soon and have some Thai food together! Have you been to Ta Ra Rin? x

Thanks Rika! We’ve been to Florence only once and that was back in winter, so we definitely want to go again now that the weather is so nice. Yes, let’s meet up when you are back from traveling. We’ve been to Ta Ra Rin and it is excellent. We also really like Tasty Thai Kitchen.

I’m so glad to see a post from you again! I love all of the pictures of your goings on. It looks like you’re making the most of your move and enjoying the Pacific Northwest. As always, I adore all of the pics of your happy pups.

Thanks so much Cadry! Your instagram comment helped pushed me to “just do it”. It was actually really hard to do a blog post because it had been so long..hence the little words 🙂 I just haven’t been motivated to blog, partly because it’s taken awhile to get adjusted here but I’m on my way. There is so much to explore here and in neighboring cities…we’ve only just scratched the surface. Thanks for the support and motivation!

Such breathtaking photos! It sounds like you are happily adjusting to your new surroundings and I’m so glad!

Oh Ketty, your photos are just so stunning and inspiring! I’m sure you’ve answered this somewhere else before, but what kind of camera and lens are you using?
